Hewn on Norwegian hills, to be the mast
Of some great ammiral, were but a wand--
He walked with, to support uneasy steps
Over the burning marl, not like those steps
On Heaven's azure

The next bit's about his sore bum, which ain't so pretty.

I'm twenty and Welsh. I've had a LJ since I was fourteen. I live Swansea which has Dylan Thomas quotes on all the city council vehicles and I can see the sea from my bedroom. I really love art, but don't create a lot of it. I was studying English Language and English Literature in Cardiff University but I dropped out of English Language because it's too scientific. I'm loving being a single honours student now! I don't know how it happened but I think I'm studying almost exclusively Shakespeare-to-Restoration period stuff. When I'm here I live in a house in central Cardiff with 7 other girls. It's a lot of fun, but I'm equally excited to be moving in with my girlfriend next academic year. When I grow up I want to be something like a parliamentary aide or a research assistant. I wanted to be a speech therapist but I won't pass the biology/neurolinguistics bit.

So far, I've been writing for politics section of the university newspaper& am on the committee for the LGBT society. I'm a member of the Labour Party after being frustrated with the amateur attitude of the far-left. I'm an intern case worker with a Labour MP. I'm in a serious relationship with another woman. We've survived 7 months apart while she travelled&taught English in South East Asia, and now she's studying in Cardiff too. She's a theatre techie, and baffles me with her knowledge of spanners etc. We're both workaholics, feminists and bookworms.

I enjoy sex, curry, eating cake batter, kissing that little groove in my dog's forehead, falling asleep with my phone in my hand waiting for a text, travelling on trains, church goosebumps, taking my heels off after a long night, thinking about adverts and beating people at stuff. I do not like flies, ignorant athiests, aeroplanes, prescriptive language approaches and when people think looking 'straight' is a compliment or that being 'politically correct' is a bad thing. Half Blood Prince is my favourite Harry Potter.
